Grace and Truth Community is a new tree grown out of old roots. We are a church re-plant, beginning about a year and a half ago. We believed that God wanted to grow the impact of His Word and His love in West Richland, so with just a small group of about 20 people, we got to work. Our plan was simple: preach Jesus from the Bible, leaving nothing out, and pray like we expect Him to do something. And He is doing more than we could have asked for. As we continue to see people saved through the Gospel, lives changed, leaders called, marriages healed, babies born and so one, we look forward to where God is moving and the excitement keeps growing. We don’t want to be benchwarmers or consumers. We want to be God’s hands and feet on the earth, taking care of people the way He did and sharing His message with everyone.
In John 1:14 and again in v. 17, God says that when Jesus came to earth, He was full of grace and truth. He wasn’t 50% each, He was 100% both.
As people, we tend to either lean toward the grace side (loving people but neglecting to speak the truth), or toward the truth side (being very up front with God’s Word but forgetting the patience and compassion He has shown us). Jesus is the only One ever to hold both in perfect unity, so we figure if we as a church can be like Him, that’s a good goal. We don’t do it perfectly all the time, but by God’s grace we are growing that direction.
We invite you to come grow with us.
